Size 60 x 180 cm + fringes

The wool yarn is spun in the EU area. The warp and weft yarn is spun mainly from Scandinavian sheep wool. It also includes certified Wool Integrity NZ- fibres. Scandinavian wool is coarse, long fibre. The fibre is used undyed whenever possible. The yarns have been spun according to the REACH regulations. The yarns are made of mulesing-free wool.

Preserving and developing Finnish textile tradition is important to us, which is why Lapuan Kankurit started collecting local wool from Finnish sheep farms for industrial use. A key motivation for the project was that a large portion of the wool had previously gone to waste. The brand also rebuilt the production chain that had disappeared from Finland. Now Lapuan Kankurit control the entire wool production process and engage in unique product development while passing on the expertise to future generations.

The product design, material purchases, loom programming and warping as well as the pre-work stages, weaving and fabric inspection are done in our brand´s own weaving mill in Lapua, Finland. If necessary, the sewing is done in their subsidiary’s own sewing department in Kaunas, Lithuania, or in their own sewing department in Lapua. The product wadding, drying and tuft finishing is done in our finishing plant in Lapua, Finland.
