We do not stock brands because they claim to be sustainable. We stock brands that can demonstrate it — through certified materials, transparent supply chains, fair labour practices, and products designed to last beyond a single season. Before a brand joins hels1nk1, we look at what their products are made from, how and where they are made, and whether the people making them are treated fairly. If the answers don't hold up, the brand doesn't come in.
Materials that start well and end well
We prioritise organic, recycled, and certified materials — not because they are a trend, but because what a product is made from determines its entire environmental footprint, from production to disposal. Organic cotton, recycled fibres, natural linen, certified wool — these are the building blocks of a wardrobe that doesn't cost the earth twice.
Circular design is not a badge. It's a decision made at the beginning.
Products carrying the Circular design badge at hels1nk1 have been created according to circular design principles — meaning the designer considered the full lifecycle of the piece before it was ever made. That means materials chosen for durability and recyclability. Construction that allows for repair or disassembly. A product that is built to re-enter use, not end in landfill. This is the difference between a product that is sustainable by accident and one that is sustainable by design.
The most sustainable product is one that already exists.
Secondlife is hels1nk1's pre-owned channel. Quality pieces are consigned, curated, and resold — extending their active life and keeping value in circulation rather than in a bin bag. Secondlife sits alongside new products at hels1nk1 because we believe new and pre-owned should coexist naturally. One is not a compromise for the other. Both are valid choices for a more considered wardrobe.
